iLL Manors - Video

Ill Manors' Music video by Plan B includes many codes and conventions which reinforce this video being like other music videos. The fast pace of the clips align with the fast pace of the song in order to build up aggressiveness and adrenaline in the audience. Direct address is also used by Plan B as well as the other characters in the music video to suggest that he is talking to the viewer. He is telling them about what is occurring using the direct address and is portraying that if the government continue to isolate these individuals then this will never stop.

The London rioters are presented as being forced into commiting these riots. The government. The music video involves a few clips showing the movie main characters presumably before the actions in this movie occurred. The aggressiveness in the actors is as a result of the low amount of help people living in the areas they live receive. Rich people are getting all the support they don't need and individuals who are in need of help are getting no help. The music video show's any person in struggles thoughts and perceptions of the government. They are self-centred around their own rich individuals and are at no point bothered to help anyone else.

All of these opinions would've been shown because Ben Drew may have been through a hard struggle in his past which he believes no one should go through. Throughout the music video clips of riots and members of parliament are included. It shows that if these individuals in the music video received help and support to maintain then none of this would happen.

The riots are presented as being a way where people in this struggle can finally get payback for what the government has not been doing for years. They are presented as a violent protest at which the public's enemy is in the right and deserves acknowledgement for what is occurring.

This video shows us an insight of what we expect from the movie. The action, the drugs and the gangs. It will show us an insight of the lives of these victims and why this is occurring. At the beginning of the music video Plan B says 'let's all go on a urban safari'. Urban implies their whereabouts and safari suggests the inhabitants in that area being animal-like. It tells us that he's going to take us and show us the lives of these so-called 'animals' that the government has demonised.
